CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON LAST PHASE LAKESIDE VILLAGE

Developers secured $41 million in financing to move forward with the last phase of Lakeside Village in Flower Mound, TX.  The 40-acre Lakeside Village development will include shops, restaurants, offices and residences on Grapevine Lake and will be the final phase of the 165-acre lakeside DFW development on Long Prairie Rd. on the northeast shore of Grapevine Lake.  Construction is set to begin in early 2020 and will include an amphitheater, bluff trails, six restaurants, wedding chapel, new streets, underground parking garage, sidewalks, landscaping and other public amenities.

Worth Home RelocationDFW ranks 4th most popular metro to metro migration destination by CommercialCafe, a nationwide commercial real estate listings platform apart of Yardi Systems.  Using U.S. Census bureau data, CommercialCafe was able to determine the top 10 most popular destinations for metro to metro migration which accounts for many of the population shifts. 

Among the many reasons why people gravitate to DFW include natural resources, construction, low taxes and career opportunities.  The Employment sector in DFW is on fire with many Fortune 500 companies setting up shop and establishing new corporate headquarters including American Airlines, ExxonMobil, AT&T and Toyota just to name a few.

Hottest Dallas-Fort Worth Neighborhoods of 2015

As we’ve previously alluded to on several different occasions, the real estate market in 2015 looks to be very bright, especially here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Inventory should be up and affordability is going to be a key factor due to a wave of home buyers expected to enter home ownership for the very first time.

Over the last 12 to 18 months, we’ve certainly seen more home buyers ditch the suburbs in favor of a more efficient, city-living lifestyle, and in 2015, that trend will continue to some degree, but on a slightly lesser scale. This year, home buyers are still leaning towards that convenient urban model, but instead might look in other parts of the DFW metro area that haven’t jumped in value over the last couple years.
