The Dallas Morning News just recently featured an update on one of Dallas’ most highly-anticipated condo towers that’s being built on the north side of the rapidly developing Harwood District—Bleu Ciel.

Being built by Harwood International, Bleu Ciel is just one of numerous new projects being built in the area, but is perhaps considered one of the more high-profile developments in the Hardwood District.

With construction expected to wrap up sometime this summer, Blue Ciel will add 150 luxury condos to the local housing landscape, which will offer between 1,373 and just over 5,800 square feet of living space.

Condos for sale at Bleu Ciel don’t come cheap, however, with units originally starting at over $800,000, and the lowest priced unit…

The second phase of Hall Group’s Hall Arts development is set to begin, according to a recent report from BisNow. Earlier in the month, Hall Group officially broke ground on a new luxury condo tower and boutique hotel, of which both were designed by HKS Architects.

When finished, the condo tower, dubbed Hall Arts Residences, will stand 25 stories high and feature 44 luxury condominiums. Along with the Hall  Arts Hotel, the entire project is estimated to cost around $250 million, and will no doubt be a significant addition to the city’s fast-growing Arts District, which has seen more than its fair-share of development in recent years.

Phase 1 of the Hall Group project, called Plaza at Hall Arts, already included an 18-story, 500,000 square foot mixed use…

While some may consider the Kessler Park neighborhood to be one of Dallas’ best kept secrets, word is quickly spreading about its character, charm, and high level of desirability. Located in the Oak Cliff area, Kessler Park conveniently sits just west of downtown, and just south of Interstate 30 for the most part.

From a housing standpoint, many will say Kessler Park almost offers a suburban-like ambiance thanks to its extensive collection of cottages, English Tudors, Prairie-, and Mediterranean-style houses. And from a location standpoint, homes for sale in Kessler Park also provides home owners with a close proximity to Trammell Crow Park, the Methodist Dallas Medical Center, the Dallas Zoo, the Stevens Park Golf Course, and even Dallas’ rapidly…

The Bishop Arts District has been red hot lately, both in terms of development and home buyer activity. Rich in history and once the home of Dallas’ most-used trolly stop back in the 1930s, the Bishop Arts District now features over 60 boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries, helping make it one of the more charming places to live in all of Dallas.

The revitalization of the Bishop Arts District has even garnered national attention from national media outlets like the New York Times, USA Today, and The Daily Beast, and it’s one of those neighborhoods that’s quickly establishing itself as one of the more sought-after communities to begin a home search.  But if you’re an active Dallas home buyer who may be looking to call the Bishop…

The DFW job market has been thriving lately, which was only further confirmed by a recent report from national payroll service company Paychex. According to their figures, Dallas has overtaken Atlanta as being the best metro area for small businesses, which is hardly surprising to those of us already living  throughout North Texas.

As noted by the Dallas Morning News, small businesses operating in the Dallas area are better suited to handle economic ups and downs, which largely contributed to Dallas’ top-ranking overall.

To help determine rankings, Paychex partners with IHS to calculate payroll information for about 350,000 businesses with fewer than 50 employees all across the U.S. and will then give each metro area an index number based on the…

DFW Apartment Construction

If you think the current apartment boom throughout the DFW region has reached insane heights, here are a few numbers to support that claim: nearly 30,000 more apartments in North Texas will be delivered in 2017, and 50,000 units in all are currently under construction.

For most of us who at least try to keep current on all the new development happening around our market, the data is hardly surprising, however, even despite being at a historically high rate for any market across the U.S.

Regardless of what community or neighborhood you’re in, you’ll almost certainly find some sort of new apartment development in the works, which is crazy to think about.

According to a recently released study from RealPage, Frisco and central Dallas are…

DFW Development

New data revealed North Texas home builders started the most homes homes in a single quarter since all the way back in 2007, which is great news considering low supply continues to drive home prices up all over DFW.

Representing the highest level of new home starts since the fourth quarter of 2007, area home builders have also started more than 30,500 homes throughout the region over the last 12 months ending in March, which is now labeled as the highest level of new construction activity since the Great Recession.

Compared to the first quarter of last year, home starts jumped 16% and builders have also sold more new construction homes during the first quarter of this year, registering 7,519 new home sales so far—a rate that’s also up 15% from…

DFW Home Price Increases in March

Thanks to a continued growth in job growth and population gains, DFW home prices continued to rise again in March, which is becoming an all-too-familiar trend for the local housing market.

According to recently updated data from Zillow, DFW was among the the three cities that saw the largest increases in home prices last month, following Seattle, which saw an 11.6% spike, and Tampa, which saw an 11.4% price hike.

Home prices in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area increase by 11% back in March.

The substantial increase in median home prices in all three cities was nearly double the national average, which was recorded at 6.8%, which is a pretty high number as it is.

While rent prices around DFW are also at historic highs, the good news…
