Dallas Mid Century Modern HomesMid century modern homes are some of the more distinctly designed residences you’ll find anywhere in DFW. Almost acting as a time capsule of sorts, most home buyers who love the era and all the design elements associated with the style tend to specifically seek out mid century modern homes during a home search, which is exactly what makes it such a unique housing type.

As you probably already know, mid century modern homes are essentially defined by their flat planes, low roof lines, large glass windows, and wide open floor plans that are free-flowing to say the least. But what you may not know at this point is where you might find some of the more authentic mid century modern homes currently on the market in Dallas right now. And with that in mind, we…

DFW Lofts For Sale We’re now well into the new year, but there’s still plenty of time left this year to consider some of DFW’s top loft buildings.

Dickson-Jenkins Building

Found in Fort Worth, the Dickson-Jenkins building offers up the enjoyment of industrial-style lofts in a more historic setting. Found within a short walk of popular Sundance Square, the 1920s-era building provides for around two-dozen different units, in a mid-rise setting.

Texas & Pacific Lofts

Also found in Fort Worth, the Texas & Pacific Lofts allow for 12-stories of loft homes in a downtown, historic building. Supplemented by exposed brick and ductwork, the building also offers oversized windows, high ceilings and some original terrazzo flooring.

Dickson-Jenkins Building Lofts For SaleNew construction always seems to be a top choice for home and condo buyers around DFW, although it’s somewhat rare to find recently-converted lofts on the market given most original industrial buildings around town have already been redeveloped.

Right now, however, the Dickson-Jenkins Building does offer that rare opportunity, providing prospective buyers with some pretty awesome living spaces that have all the charm and character you’d expect from a 1927-built factory that also sits just steps from Sundance Square and the Trinity Railway Station.

Inside, lofts for sale at the Dickson-Jenkins Building feature spacious open living areas with oversized industrial windows, concrete floors, high concrete ceilings, and high-end bathroom finishes that won’t…

Niche.com rankings Popular ratings and reviews website niche.com has once again revealed its annual “Best Places to Raise a Family” rankings, and a couple familiar places found their way onto the 2018 list. Most notably, Plano came in at No. 3 overall, which to those of us who already call North Texas home is hardly surprising. The nearby community of Richardson also just cracked the top ten, placing 9th on this year’s rankings.

Like in previous years, niche.com evaluates cities based on school performance, cost of living, crime rate and safety, and a variety of other factors that help determine livability and desirability. Data that is used in the rankings is gathered from the U.S. Census Bureau and other reliable government sources, and each city is then given a…

New Apartments DallasThe apartment market throughout the North Texas region is hotter than ever, and 2018 should once again bring another new wave of units to market. But as you might expect, DFW isn’t the only city in the U.S. experiencing an apartment boom, even after a bit of a slowdown in multi-family deliveries in 2017.

According to a new Yardi Matrix report, close to 600,000 units across the country were under construction as of the fourth quarter last year, but only 220,000 units were delivered over the last three quarters of 2017. Translation—there’s going to be a whole lot of new apartments being delivered in 2018, which includes quite a few right here in DFW.

In fact, Dallas is expected to see the most apartment unit deliveries in the U.S. in 2018, according…
