The DFW real estate market is off to a great start with home and condo sales up across the board year over year for January 2020.  Collin County closed out at 899 home and condo sales up 13.7% over January 2019, Dallas County came in at 1,468 up 12.6%, Denton County 860 sales up over 23.2%, Rockwall County up 123 sales up over 20.6%, and Tarrant County at 1,518 sales up over 5.6%.  While sales are strong throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX area, DFW housing inventory is still struggling in all counties except Rockwall County, falling short on pre-owned and new construction home and condo inventory levels.

It’s no secret that DFW’s apartment market has been among the hottest in the country over the last 12-18 months and one Atlanta-based developer is banking on that trend continuing well into 2020 and beyond. 

As first reported by the Dallas News, RangeWater Real Estate is in the process of building a new, 8-story apartment building near the 5700 block of Richmond Avenue in Dallas’ Lower Greenville neighborhood and just last week renderings were first released.

New DFW DevelopmentThe Hanover Property Company has purchased 966 acres on U.S. Highway 287 in Midlothian for a massive development that will feature single-family homes, townhouses, commercial space, and even some industrial construction.

According to recent reports, the $950 million project, located just southwest of Dallas, will eventually bring more that 2000 homes to the area.

The first phase of the project will include around 350 houses and starting prices are expected to be about $300K.
