Rise no. 1 is highly known for their soufflés. They are masters when it comes to French cuisines, and they are a highly anticipated restaurant in the Dallas area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and dining is casual. They offer a wide variety of wines, and have a dedicated wine bar you can visit.

The Menu

You will find soufflés of all kinds at Rise no. 1, which includes ingredients such as ham and Gruyere, creamed spinach, goat cheese, smoked salmon, blue cheese and truffle-infused wild mushrooms. Soufflé’s can also be enjoyed as a dessert. Their dessert soufflé’s include chocolate, Grand Marnier, Raspberry, bread-pudding and apricot.

You will also find fromage, which is a French artisan cheese. Small plates of French cuisine are served.

Turtle Creek DFW

The Turtle Creek development from Toronto-based Great Gulf Homes has been in the works for about two years now, so chances are, you’ve probably heard of it. Initially, the developer was planning to build a 22-story residential tower at 2505 Turtle Creek Blvd, but now, reports are also coming out about the homebuilder having also acquired 2401 Turtle Creek Blvd, which could eventually lead to a new luxury rental tower also being developed with 50 individual units.

In all, Great Gulf Homes is now investing approximately $275 million in the red hot Dallas real estate market if all goes according to plan, with possibly even more projects on the way down the road as construction finally gets underway for these first two.

The 5th Annual Dallas Observer BrewFest will be held on Saturday, September 12th. This festival will be located at the Dallas Farmers Market, and hosted by Whole Foods Market. During the BrewFest, you will be able to sample a variety of beers. It will all take place outdoors, and include craft beers, local food vendors and live music.

All those in attendance must be 21 or older. The ticket price will include twelve beer samples that are 2 ounces each. You can purchase your tickets at If you purchase a VIP ticket you will be able to enter the festival at 6pm, all other guests will gain admission at 7pm.
