New Dallas Parks

When it comes to the downtown Dallas real estate market, many eventual home, condo, and loft buyers usually take into consideration all of the nearby community amenities when looking for a new place to live almost as much as the actual living space, making it essential for the city to continue to evolve with all of the growing needs and wants that many of today’s local urban dwellers have when choosing where to call home.

Much of the attraction involved with living in downtown Dallas relates to the ease of public transportation and the close proximity to a wide range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, but along with that, there’s also a growing need for lots of outdoor amenities and open green spaces as well, which is something city…

Being called the M-Line Tower, the project is being developed by High Street Residential—a subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, which was originally founded in Dallas back in 1948. Although complete details are still not yet available, the project is said to include 271 apartments…

DFW Real Estate Market in 2016

In some ways, it’s hard to believe there’s only about two months left of this year, but as we approach November and the upcoming holiday season, that’s exactly what we’re facing. Looking back, 2015 has been a robust year for the DFW real estate market to say the least, and after such a wild year for basically all phases of the market, many of us are already wondering what 2016 will bring.

Although the real estate market and future market conditions are tough to predict, here’s a look at three things that could every easily happen as we enter another new year:

Slower Job Growth

At first glance, this may seem like bad news, but given DFW saw some of the highest job growth in the entire country in 2015, sustaining those kinds of numbers isn’t likely.…

As we approach the end of 2015, we’ve reached the early beginnings of Chisholm Trail Ranch—a sprawling master-planned community that will eventually bring nearly 1,100 new single-family homes to a 261 acre development site just outside of downtown Fort Worth.

As reported last week, Scottsdale, Arizona-based developer The Walton Group of Cos. has officially started construction for the highly-anticipated Chisholm Trail Ranch community, which couldn’t come at a more red hot time for the DFW real estate market.

Along with a fabulous collection of new homes, Chisholm Trail Ranch will also include an on-site elementary school and of course easy access to the new Chisholm Trail and all the parks and public spaces along this awesome new outdoor amenity.

Downsizing in Dallas

With the DFW real estate market so hot, and inventory so low, some local residents may be weighing the pros and cons of selling right now, even if they wouldn’t normally consider it under ordinary conditions. Furthermore, for anyone thinking about downsizing, or perhaps will be at that point in a few years down the road, there may be no better time to sell than now, so why not make the move during such a wild sellers’ market?

Of course making a move of any sorts is a major decision and such a decision shouldn’t be taken lightly. However, if you think now may be the time to make some changes, here’s a look at a number of DFW neighborhoods that are great for downsizing:

Legacy West, Plano TX

As detailed in an earlier report from The Dallas Morning News, even home builders outside of the DFW market want to get in on the booming North Texas real estate market, and they’re coming from all over the state to do so.

Perhaps one of the most notable and ambitious projects coming to market by an out-of-town builder is a 127-home project in the $2 billion Legacy West development over in Plano, which is one of the fastest growing cities in the area.

Being developed by Scott Felder Homes out of Austin, Texas, the particular project is unlike the traditional single-family homes they usually build and will instead have a more modern-contemporary feel to it that’s specifically designed to attract more of today’s home buyers.

Offering more of an “urban”…

DFW New Construction Real Estate

It’s safe to say 2015 has been a crazy year for the DFW real estate market, from reaching record breaking sales prices to the delivery of all kinds of exciting new rental projects over the past 9 to 12 months. But because the rental market has been so red hot for the better part of this year and development around the DFW region has had a strong emphasis on new apartments, few can argue it’s resulted in a rather limited inventory of available condos and single-family homes—something North Texas home builders are now starting to recognize.

According to a recent report from Dallas Business Journal, DFW home builders have boosted new home starts in the third quarter by nearly 22% from this time last year in a strong effort to help meet the demand caused so…
