Southwest Dallas Apartment Development in the WorksA new apartment community is headed to Southwest Dallas, according to new reports. Being developed by Miami-based Resia LLC, the project is expected to include 336 units and be positioned right next to the Dallas National Golf Club. 

Approximately 17 percent of the apartments will be affordable units, and the development will be Resia’s first multi-family project in the DFW market. 

With population increases and more companies moving to North Texas, the demand for rental units is only expected to grow heading into 2023 and beyond. In fact, Resia already plans to build 8,000 more apartments nationwide by 2025.

Eastline Apartments DallasThe apartment construction boom in Dallas seems to still be in full effect as construction just recently got underway on a massive new transit-oriented development near SMU. 

Being called Eastline, Chicago-based developer Convexity Properties is behind the new 12-acres mixed-use project, which will combine two existing structures with a fancy new 28-story tower. 

When finished, Eastline will have retail space, office space, a hotel, and luxury high-rise apartments, which will offer superb views of downtown Dallas. 

The existing buildings, which will house a revamped hotel and revamped office space, have already had extensive work done, and as of November 1st, the hotel will be rebranded as the Beeman Hotel.

Dallas ApartmentsDallas-based Billingsley Co. is looking to replace two old warehouses situated just just of Galleria Dallas with new apartment residences, according to a recent report from the Dallas News. 

The project site, located at 4730 Simonton, encompasses roughly 8 acres and is currently surrounding by industrial development. However, Billingsley Co. is also looking to demolish another warehouse property just a few blocks away and develop and additional five-story apartment complex. 

Combined, both projects would be a major step forward in totally changing the area landscape.

Downtown Dallas Apartment TowerA new high-rise development slated for downtown Dallas will include a number of affordable units according to recent reports—something many new projects throughout DFW have been lacking. 

Being developed by Matthews Southwest, the new apartment tower will soon break ground at 2400 Bryan Street, and when finished, will stand 15 stories high and have around 230 apartment residences. And of those 230 units, over 100 will be reserved for below-market rents. 

But just what does that means exactly? Well, according to affordable housing regulations, residents will need to be earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area’s median household income to qualify for the affordable units.
