Just last week, we highlighted Fort Worth’s affordability and how it can really be a great place to begin a home search for entry level and first-time home buyers. In case you missed it, a recent market snapshot from HomeInsight shows the median home price in Fort Worth right now is just over $115,00, which makes it one of the more affordable locations in the entire DFW metro area. Â
Because of Fort Worth’s wide-range of housing options, which range from condos and townhouse to single-family homes of all shapes and sizes, the numbers can certainly be a bit misleading compared to other suburban communities that are comprised mostly of largest detaches units; but even still, when you combine Fort Worth’s close proximity to downtown Dallas, its easy access to just about any city or suburb in the region, and of course all the awesome amenities and attractions scattered all around the area (which includes a fabulous dining and nightlife scene), there’s a lot to get excited about if you’re an active home buyer looking for a new place to live specifically around the Fort Worth area. And with home prices here a bit more favorable to buyers than many other cities and towns across North Texas, you might just find you also get more bang for your buck here too.Â
Despite the median home price in Fort Worth being $115,200, here’s a close look at just what you can expect to find should you kick that budget up just a bit higher to $200,000.Â
