Walsh Master Planned Community Fort Worth

The massive 15,000-home master planned community being developed by Republic Property Group is well under way, as updated reports are now surfacing about the progress being made over at Fort Worth’s most ambitious residential project in recent memory.

David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, and Village Homes will all have a presence in the new master plan, which is being called Walsh as a way to pay homage to the historic homestead in which it’s being built on.

In all, Walsh will include a whopping 580 home sites in the first phase alone, while the entire community will occupy a massive 7,200 acres that are situated right near where I-20 and I-30 merge on Fort Worth’s rapidly expanding west side.

Developers of Walsh tout the community as being unlike anything ever seen in the DFW area, as home lots of varying shapes and sizes will undoubtedly give the development a rather unique look and feel.

The build-out for the initial phase of Walsh is expected to cost $1.6 billion and encompass 1,700 of the 7,200 total acres of the entire master plan. Both single-family homes and some commercial development will be a part of phase 1, which is estimated to take around 12 to 15 years to complete.
