Blackfriar Pub: An Irish-owned pub situated on McKinney Avenue, Blackfriar has a true neighborhood-feel that’s ideal for outdoor dining and drinking. The establishment itself is housed in a historic old house, and what was once the front yard is now a vibrant and lively beer garden that overlooks the street.
Stackhouse Burgers: A simple and casual burger joint, Stackhouse is the perfect place to frequent for great food, cheap beer, and a modest atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to get a table out on the patio, Stackhouse also offers tremendous skyline views, which seem especially exceptional in the evening.
The Foundry: What many consider to be the best and most unique outdoor dining experience in Dallas, The Foundry almost feels as if you’re barbecuing in a buddy’s backyard. The lighting, picnic tables, and fire pit all seem to fit together seamlessly and exemplify a true Texas-style atmosphere.
Katy Trail Ice House: Unlike most restaurants in Dallas, the atmosphere around Katy Trail Ice House is centered on the outdoor patio and beer garden, which is the largest in all of Dallas. Included is a 50 foot long bar with 50 beers on tap that range from local domestics to all sorts of International imports.
Full Circle Tavern: Described as a neighborhood restaurant with a modern tavern ambiance, Full Circle Tavern feature a great selection of craft brews and the burgers here are undoubtedly some of the best in town—seriously, they’re really good. You can also get a pretty good glimpse of the skyline from the patio at Full Circle Tavern, so give it try at night—you won’t be disappointed.
Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House: When the words “beer garden” are included in the name of the restaurant, chances are the outdoor space is pretty exceptional. The beer selection here consists of 60 bottled beers, 16 American taps, and 5 local beers, so if you’re a true beer lover and are looking for a great outdoor hang out, Goodfriend is definitely your kind of place.
