The Dallas real estate market has been booming, and as more and more people make the move to North Texas, the construction industry is having trouble keeping up with demand. Among the many needs when it comes to housing is more homes with an affordable price tag, and according to a a recent report in the Dallas Morning News, that’s something builders will now be more heavily focused on moving forward.
As noted in the report, home builders in the DFW area started construction for 8,812 homes during the second quarter of this year, which is the highest volume of new home starts since the fourth quarter of 2006. Many of those new homes will ultimately have prices that start under $300,000, which is good news for buyers looking for a lower priced home.
Single-family home listings under $200,000 have become very difficult to find in the DFW area lately, and first-time buyers looking for an entry-level house truly have a limited number options right now. But just how limited, you ask?
After reading that report, we were curious to see how many single-family homes priced at $300,000 and below are on active on the market in Dallas-Fort Worth, and at the time of this post, inventory wasn’t quite as bad as we thought. And to prove it, here’s a quick look at just some of the hottest single-family homes in DFW priced at or below $300,000:
