Dallas-Fort Worth has many suburbs provided for residents looking to live outside of the city. If you're moving to the area and want to enjoy the best of the big-city amenities and some of the top schools, a suburb might be the right choice.

With Dallas just down the road and plenty of great suburbs to choose from, residents enjoy a bit of a smaller town feel with the big-city close by. This is a benefit many enjoy. Here are some of the top suburbs in the DFW area.

Frisco

Found to the north, Frisco is known as one of the best choices for suburbs. The area east of Preston and north of Eldorado are two of the top neighborhoods in the suburb.

McKinney

Another northern suburb and known as the second fastest growing city in the United States, McKinney provides plenty of benefits. The neighborhoods on the western side of Highway 75 and near Nesbitt Park are known as the best choices.

Flower Mound

Flower Mound provides a suburb with a Main Street and access to I-35E. It's a top choice for commuters because of the easy interstate access, but also provides plenty of beauty in the Stone Creek area.

Southlake

A smaller town found in Tarrant County, Southlake has plenty to offer. It's a pet friendly area with many luxury neighborhoods and top schools.

Eastern Colleyville

With attractive landscape, plenty of beautiful homes and easy access to Dallas, the Eastern part of Colleyville is a top suburb choice. This area is known for the landscaping and some residents spend over $100 a month on their home's landscaping.

All of these suburbs are very popular in the DFW area. Many others provide a great place to live including Allen, Plano and Grapevine and many others.
