Dallas is the city known for their art. This spring is no different. They are offering one of the most progressive art scenes with even more diversity. Here are the top choices in Art Events coming to the DFW area for the spring.
Robert Jessup and Chris Larson - January 10th to February 14th
Kazuo Shiraga, Sadamasa Montonaga And Frank Bowling - February 8th to August 2nd
It can be said that this is the year for The Dallas Museum of Art. This is one of the two exclusive USA and World exhibits to be held at this venue this year. It will be on exhibit February 8 – July 19, 2015. The second is “Frank Bowling: Map Paintings” that will be February 20th to August 2nd. The Dalls Museum of art is located at 1717 North Harwood Street in Dallas.
Irby Pace – Sometime in March
An open reception is planned for March 28th and you may find yourself spending hours studying photographs at this exhibit. Some of Irby Pace’s photographs have even been featured in “Ripley’s Believe It or Not”. The exhibit will be at the Galleri Urbane, which is found at 2277 Monitor Street in Dallas.
Ryder Richard’s “The Idyllist” - March 5th to April 2nd
In this solo exhibit the participant is introduced to the idea of communality of universal wholeness and “self” is simplified. The exhibit will be held at the Carillon Gallery at the Joe B. Rushing Center for the Performing Arts, which is found at 5301 Campus Drive in Fort Worth.
Horizon - April 4th to May 16th
Six artists will be on display paying homage to landscapes of the world. Saturday, April 4th from 6pm to 9pm will be an open reception. It will be held at the Mary Tomas Gallery, which is located at 1110 Dragon Street in Dallas.
