Best DFW Cities To Look For a New Home

With development booming and job opportunities soaring, the Dallas real estate market has been red hot in 2015. But as the good economic times continue to roll, not everybody craves the bright lights of a big city, which is where many of the small towns surrounding DFW come into play for many of today’s active home buyers.

To some, the Dallas suburbs are about as attractive as it gets when looking for a new place to live, and when you start looking around at what each has to offer, it’s easy to see why. Great school systems, lots of community amenities, and rising home values are just some of the top reasons why many opt for small town living, but if you’re in the market for a new home, where are some of the best places to begin your search?

One idea might be to consult WalletHub’s annual list of Best & Worst Small Cities in America. Every year, analysts at WalletHub take a look at all kinds of data from housing costs to the number of restaurants per capita to help determine what they consider the best, and worst, small cities all throughout the U.S.

This year, WalletHub compared 1,268 small cities and a couple familiar places happened to make the list. Southlake was the highest rated city in Texas, coming in at the No. 6 best city in the country. And although it was the only Texas town to make the Top 10, other area cities to make the list included Keller, Flower Mound, Coppell, Grapevine, Little Elm, and Allen.

Each of these cities all made the Top 200, which out of over 1,200 cities, isn’t too shabby. For a closer look at the complete list, swing over to WalletHub here
