The new construction market all throughout the DFW area is thriving right now, and if you don’t believe us, consider the fact that 10% of all homes currently under construction in the U.S. are being built in Texas, with many of those of course located in the Dallas area.

But along with record breaking numbers on the new construction side of the market, the overall health of the DFW housing market is also quite strong right now, or at least according to WalletHub’s latest findings.

Earlier today, the personal finance website released its annual list of the best real estate market’s, and several familiar cities and towns topped the charts.

Basing its results on 21 different factors that range from housing market attractiveness and economic strength to home price appreciation rate and job growth, WalletHub analyzed 300 different cities overall and determined 5 of the top 10 real estate markets are right here in North Texas.

Taking home the No. 1 spot overall is Frisco, followed by McKinney at No. 2, Allen at No. 3, Richardson at No. 5, and Carrollton at No. 8.

When broken down into the three size categories (Large, Medium, and Small), McKinney topped the Midsize Cities category, and Frisco, Allen, and Richardson ranked No. 1, 2, and 3 respectively in the Small Cities category.
