It’s that time of year when the holidays are around the corner and the weather’s cooling down. DFW is gearing up to celebrate the season with plenty of events for the community to enjoy. Dress up and bring the whole family out to enjoy DFW’s holiday events including concerts, musicals, shows, plays and much more. Starting in November you can start celebrating the Christmas season with these upcoming events in DFW.
Everybody loves the Nutcracker. Check out the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker on November 22nd-23rd. The performance will include detailed costumes with Swarovski crystals and award-winning dancers bringing Tchaikovsky’s work to life. Check it out on the 22nd at 3pm and 7pm and on the 23rd at 1pm at the SMU McFarlin Auditorium.
In December check out everybody’s favorite Christmas story from 1964, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: the Musical. It’s taking place at the Bass Performance Hall from December 5th-7th.
Based on the classic Christmas tale, this musical will perform the story featuring the famous reindeer and a cast of iconic characters. Being the longest and highest rated television special after fifty years means this story is worth enjoying again.
One of everybody’s favorite Christmas stories is “A Christmas Carol’ featuring Scrooge, the ghosts and Tiny Tim. Check it out at the Wylie Theater from November 25th through December 27th.
102.1 The Edge is presenting How the Edge Stole Christmas at the Verizon Theatre on December 5th. It’s going to be a concert featuring the Stone Temple Pilots, Panic at the Disco, Blue October and more.
