Roanoke City Center TownhomesThe highly anticipated Roanoke City Center is beginning to take shape within Roanoke’s historic Oak Street District. The plan for a modern mixed-use space began four years ago when the land went under contract.

The City Center space is a 21.5-acre development to include retail, dining, living and office spaces. The development is already the home of Roanoke’s brand-new city hall building, as well as, new parking facilities, and some state-of- the-art residential lofts.  Models for Roanoke’s first brownstone style residences have also recently opened and are available for touring. A total of 36 brownstone units will be amongst the variety of living spaces in the downtown area.

In the coming months, the City Center will add additional retail spaces, office spaces, and a family entertainment center. A mixture of national brands and local businesses are expected to fill the retail spaces allowing residents to take advantage of a unique Roanoke culture. The Peabody Hotel, expected to begin construction later this year in preparation for a grand opening in 2021, will also be part of the fabulous new City Center and feature 300 guest rooms, an event/party space, and a relaxing spa.
