Safe Trick or Treating in DFW 2014

It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing Halloween, but ready or not, October 31st is now just three weeks away. As with any event of festival around the Dallas metropolitan area, staying safe while enjoying all the fun-filled festivities is always a top priority, and if you’re looking for ideas on where to take your kids trick-or-treating this year, here’s our ultimate guide to safe trick-or-treating in DFW for 2014:
 

Boo at the Zoo – Fort Worth Zoo

Ft. Worth, TX 

Happening daily from October 24th to October 26th, Boo at the Zoo is a Halloween-themed experience that transforms the Fort Worth Zoo into an awesome fall and Halloween festival. A pumpkin patch, costume parade, arts and crafts, and of course a full complement of spooky-themed animal activates are all part of the fun! Admission is free and the event time is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. all three days.

Trick or Treat on the Square – Frisco Square

Frisco, TX
 
Come trick or treat at some of Frisco’s hottest local restaurants and businesses and enjoy an amusing Halloween festival at the square that will include a petting zoo, a not-so-spooky spook house, a face painter, balloon twister, and a horse drawn wagon that takes attendees around the plaza. This DFW Halloween event is perfect for the all the little ones!

Treat Street at the Fort Worth Stockyards – Historic Fort Worth Stockyards

Fort Worth, TX
 
As one of the safest trick or treating environments in the area, we definitely encourage you to swing over to this family-friendly festival on October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to enjoy trick or treating at the stockyards, free hayrides, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, games and prizes, and so much more!

Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo – Dallas Zoo

Dallas, TX
 
Come experience the Dallas Zoo in the evening from October 23rd through the 26th, while also taking advantage of a number of different Halloween-themed events and activities such as several animal adventure shows, haunted candy stations, costumed characters, a nighttime ride on the Safari Express mini train, and mysterious magic tricks performed right before your very eyes!

Brick-Or-Treat – LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Grapevine, TX
 
One of the more unique Halloween events in DFW, activities here will include a SCARE-venger hunt in MINILAND, a BOO-tiful costume contest with all kinds of fun prizes, a Haunted Town Bid Build, and a pumpkin trail that leads all throughout the discovery center! Brick-or-Treat is running each weekend from October 4th through the 26th, so check it out today!

Goblins in the Garden – Dallas Arboretum

Dallas, TX
 
A special Arboretum trick-or-treat in the garden, this is one of our favorite Halloween-themed events in the entire DFW region. Along with a fun trick-or-treat atmosphere, guests also have the opportunitu to check out the nationally recognized Pumpkin Village, which features more than 50,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash! This popular event always sells out, so register early!!! (Reservations ARE required!)
