Best Whiskey Bars in DFW

Few will argue that Texans, and Dallasites in particular, really love their whiskey. A regional characteristic that dates all the way back to the Old West, there’s certainly no shortage of great restaurants and bars to experience the best scotch, bourbon, or other brown liquor Dallas has to offer, especially right here in the heart of downtown. So whether you prefer your whiskey neat, on the rocks, or perhaps in a classic whiskey-induced cocktail, here’s our list of the best whiskey bars not only around downtown Dallas, but in the entire DFW area:

Whiskey Cake - Plano, TX

If you can’t tell by the name, this Plano whiskey house has a solid selection of whiskey, bourbon, or scotch, not to mention over a dozen specialty whiskey cocktails as well. If you’re a foodie who also loves a good meal while throwing back a few drinks, the farm-to-table menu here is also worth the trip.

The Standard Pour - Dallas, TX

Recently named one of the 60 best bourbon bars in the U.S., it’s hard to overlook The Standard Pour when it comes to great whiskey spots in DFW. From a classic Old Fashioned or Manhattan to something a little more contemporary, the cocktail list here is extensive, as is their whiskey selection in general.

Trinity Hall - Dallas, TX

With over 200 scotch whiskies, over 30 American and Canadian whiskies, and over 40 Irish whiskies, its safe to say whiskey is a specialty of Trinity Hall. As an Irish bar that features a casual atmosphere, great service, and of course a wide range of liquor, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Trinity Hall.

The Second Floor - Dallas, TX

Located inside the Westin Galleria Dallas, The Second Floor has a lavish interior, phenomenal bartending service, and one of the finest whiskey selections you’ll find anywhere. With right around 200 whiskies available, the biggest problem you’ll have is deciding which option to go with when it comes time to order.
