Deep Ellum is one of our favorite Dallas neighborhoods for a number of different reasons. Along with being one of the more walkable districts in all of downtown Dallas, the dozens of restaurants, art galleries, entertainment venues, and locally owned boutique shops make it an attractive option for home buyers looking for an authentic urban setting with plenty of culture and diversity. The murals and public art work seen all throughout the neighborhood certainly give the Deep Ellum streets plenty of character, while the urban gardens and community parks provide a true sense of community that other downtown Dallas communities have a hard time matching.

Local

One of Deep Ellum’s more upscale dining options, LOCAL features a modern American menu that incorporates only the highest quality in-season ingredients. Uncle Uber’s Sammich Shop

If you’re looking for a nice casual spot for lunch or dinner, there’s no better place than Uncle Uber’s Sammich Shop. A locally owned joint that does sandwiches better than anybody in town, Uncle Uber’s is constantly adding new items to the menu and pleasing anyone and everyone who walks through the door.  Right now, our favorites on the menu include the Pork BunME, the Cuban, and the Slow Roasted Pork, but you really can’t go wrong with anything you choose here at Uncle Uber’s. Angry Dog

Having been around since 1990, this long-standing Deep Ellum bar and restaurant is great because of its friendly service, casual atmosphere, and simple, yet delicious, menu. The wait staff makes anyone who walks in feel like they’ve been a regular for years, and if you’re looking for a new spot for happy hour or to catch a ball game, the Angry Dog is certainly worth consideration. Il Cane Rosso

We’re suckers for good pizza and when it comes to authentic Neapolitan Pizza, nobody does it better than Il Cane Rosso. Having been voted “The Best Pizza in Dallas” by the Dallas Observer in 2011, 2012, and 2013, it’s safe to say Cane Rosso has been a neighborhood favorite since it first opened its doors. Along with their amazing pizza, pasta options, sandwiches, and assorted salumi are also featured on the menu, so if you’re in the mood for some of the best Italian food in Dallas, Il Cane Rosso is the right choice.
