Spring Break is great for the kids as they certainly need a break, but that means they will be home all day long. This can make it difficult for parents because they have to hire somebody to watch them or worry if the house will be a mess when they get home from work.
This year you don't have to worry. You can send your PreK to 5th grade students to the Dallas Zoo for spring break fun. This event will provide all types of fun for kids and it will help take the pressure off the parents that work. Here's what the kids can expect.
The camps will be split into four age ranges:
- K - 1st
- 2nd - 3rd
- 4th - 5th
These age ranges make it easy for children to enjoy the day camps with others their own age.
Single Day Camps
There will be five different single day camps running from March 9th to March 13th and include:
- Monday - "Destination Reforestation"
- Tuesday - "Hakuna Matata"
- Wednesday - "Dr. ZooLittle"
- Thursday - "Life of a Bug"
- Friday - "Rio and You"
Each day includes separate registration for each age range. The day camp will run from 9am to 4pm on each day, as well. The cost for each day camp is $45 for Dallas Zoo Members and $50 for non-members. Discounts are offered for multiple camps.
Before and After Camps
Along with the regular day camp, the Zoo will offer beforecamp and aftercamp. These extended hours are perfect for those needing to be to work before 9am or needing to stay later than 4pm.
The beforecamp is $5 per child and runs from 8am to 9am each day. The aftercamp is $10 per child and runs from 4pm to 6pm each day. Children can enjoy a little bit more fun with these additional sessions.
If you're looking for something fun and educational for your children during spring break, these day camps might be the perfect option this year.
