Travel between Dallas and Austin just became easier and cheaper. With Virgin America announcing they plan to add five daily flights from Dallas Love Field to Austin-Bergstrong International Airport, businesses can quickly get to and from each city without a hassle. This will make traveling between two of the fastest growing cities in the state fast and inexpensive.
The five new flights will be added by April 28th. The flights are expected to be very affordable, which provide plenty of benefit for businesses in both cities.
Only one carrier serves the DAL-AUS route currently, but that is about to change with Virgin stepping up with new flights. Virgin just moved from DFW to Love Fiend in October of 2014. They currently take up two gates and serve many other areas. They have routes to New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. With the addition of the five new flights, Virgin will have 19 daily departures from Love Field.
Along with the new flights to Austin, Virgin America is also the only Love Field carrier with three classes of service. They offer both first class and main cabin service, along with premium economy service.
The "Texas Just Got Smaller" Sale
Even though the sale is over, it gives those in Austin and Dallas an idea of how cheap the flights may be with future sales. Virgin America kicked off the new flights by selling tickets for just $39 one way. This is much lower than most other airlines for comparable flights.
Whether the flights continue to be this cheap or go up in price, they are expected to be very affordable. This new connection between Dallas and Austin will provide something perfect for businesses in both locations. It will also help parents looking to visit college kids that have gone away to Austin.
