A new Fort Worth apartment community is officially in the works, according to a new report from the Dallas Business Journal. Appropriately called The River East, this new urban mixed-used project will be situated at 2900 Race Street, which sits directly in the heart of Fort Worth’s trendy River East neighborhood.

Being developed by Dallas-based development firm Criterion Property Company, plans for The River East call for 322,019 square feet of co-working (live-work) space, retail space, and 181 new construction apartments, which come at a time when Fort Worth’s apartment market is absolutely booming.

As noted by the Business Journal, the new apartments for rent at The River East will range in size from 600 to 1,331 square feet, while amenities at the complex will include a resort-style swimming pool, an outdoor grilling kitchen, an on-site pet park, and of course a full-size fitness center.

According to recently revealed data from MPF Research, Fort Worth was easily one of the top markets in the U.S. in terms of year-over-year apartment growth, and with much of the surrounding North Texas continuing to add jobs and residents, the rental growth rate is only expected to keep rising heading into the second half of 2017 and beyond.
