Food Trucks have become very popular in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Plenty are spotted all throughout the area, especially when the weather is nice.
A new food truck was introduced recent called the Glazed Donut Works food truck. This truck will provide doughnuts for the masses and it's a cute pink short bus.
Darren Cameron, Co-Owner of Glazed announced recently that the bus the purchased was not only legal for food truck use in Dallas, but also ready to serve the public. Glazed took the opposite track compared to most, however. They started with a brick-and-mortar location and added a food truck later. Most start with a food truck before settling into an actual location.
Even though the owners of Glazed started with a short bus early on, they had never used it as a food truck until now. They also had a location they turned into a kitchen and were considering just selling their products from the food truck. However, it made more sense to open an actual location out of the location instead of just using it as a kitchen.
The first test for the pink food bus came recently, when they delivered doughnuts to the cast and crew of Conan. They created a flavor for both Andy Richter and Conan O'Brien called the Candied Richter and the Conan. Both of these flavors were sold for a week after and may return again in the near future.
Currently, the Glazed Pink Food Bus is in discussions with a Deep Ellum landlord for a regular location on Main or Commerce. Until a regular location is found, customers can locate the pink food bus by following Glazed on Facebook and Twitter. They will also be announcing an anchor location on both Twitter and Facebook in the near future.
