Arlington is one of the cities found in the DFW Metroplex. In fact, it's the third largest behind Dallas and Fort Worth. The population of Arlington is nearly 400,000 and it's located right between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Found about 20 miles to the west of Dallas and very close to both Fort Worth and Grand Prairie, this city has a great location. Both I-20 and I-30 provide easy access to many of the best attractions found throughout the DFW area.

The city is very diverse with plenty of real estate options. Residents can find starter homes for less than $100,000 and plenty of other homes for much higher prices. Whether you're looking to just start in an inexpensive house or you're searching for a luxury home, you can find it in Arlington.

Arlington is served by four different school districts including:

  • Grand Prairie ISD
  • Mansfield ISD
  • Arlington ISD
  • Kennedale ISD

These districts provide high rankings on a regular basis. For older students, the University of Texas at Arlington and Tarrant County College are available.

The area of Arlington is full of restaurants and nightlife. From BBQ joints to great Mexican restaurants, there's plenty to choose from here. Of course, plenty of entertainment is provided by the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, which both play in Arlington.

Shopping is plentiful throughout the city, as well. The Parks at Arlington mall is one of the largest malls in the area with over 200 shops, an ice rink, food court, carousel and AMC theatre. Another popular shopping complex found in Arlington is the Lincoln Square Shopping Center.

Overall, Arlington is centrally located and provides plenty of options for many different types of residents. Whether you want to live near both Dallas and Fort Worth or you prefer to be close to the professional sports action, Arlington is a good choice.
