Although home prices continue to increase and home sales are starting to cool throughout DFW, one segment of the market still seems to be thriving heading into the fourth and final quarter of 2018.

According to a new report from the Dallas Morning News, million dollar home sales in North Texas have increased by 9 percent compared to the first 8 months of 2017, recording 1,262 million-dollar home sales in all through August.

For comparison, overall preowned home sales in the North Texas region are up just 1 percent over that same timeframe.

According to a recent report from realtor.com, DFW isn't the only city where million dollar home sales have spiked. Their numbers show luxury home sales are in fact booming in many cities throughout the U.S., and nationwide, million dollar home sales are actually up 6 percent.
