Luxury Apartments Along Katy Trail

A controversial project has been a topic of discussion among those in the Highland Park and Dallas real estate industry as of late, as there seems to be a slight disagreement in whether or not a brand new luxury apartment building should be built along the Katy Trail near the Highland Park border.

Although opposed by Highland Park officials due to a concern over infringing on the privacy of nearby Highland Park residents and increasing the population density near the trail, the Dallas Plan Commission ultimately voted in favor of rezoning the possible construction site, which could pave the way for moving forward with the project.

In all, this new luxury apartment complex would house 258 one- and two-bedroom units, with early pricing figures ranging between $2,500 and $5,000. Those developing the project insist the building’s design and landscaping will blend in seamlessly with the natural beauty of Katy Trail, and that it’s taller structure is simply indicative of urban development trends seen not only in Dallas, but also in cities all around the country.

Other luxury apartment developments currently in the works around the area include The Monaco, the Routh Street Flats, and One Dallas—all located in Uptown Dallas.
