Is the DFW Metroplex Home to any Famous Authors?

Sometimes it's cool to know a little bit about the famous people you share a city with. Reading a book written by one of the well-known local authors will provide a look into the mind of the person. Whether you enjoy romance, science fiction or even suspense, you can find it from a local DFW author.

Lorraine Heath

Lorraine is from Plano and has published more than 30 romance novels. She releases books on a regular basis and many of them provide interesting characters, torrid affairs and a peek into the romantic world she creates. A couple of well-known books she wrote include "The Lost Lords of Pembrook" and "Lord of Wicked Intentions."

Rick Chitwood

Another area writer with many published works is Rick Chitwood. He was named after Richard Chitwood (his grandfather), who founded Texas Tech University. Chitwood wrote the science fiction book "Husk" and is currently working on another book to be released in 2014. "Husk" is a book about time and space, good and evil and challenges the mainstream idea of what heaven is like.

Liz Lipperman

Maybe the best known author from the DFW area, Liz Lipperman writes culinary mysteries. Some of her books include the Clueless Cook Series - "Liver Let Die," "Murder for the Halibut" and "Beef Stolen-Off." Another book in this series titled, "Chicken Caccia-Killer" is due to be releases soon.

Michelle Miles

A Fort Worth resident with a few books in different genres Michelle Miles has written popular books, in the fantasy romance, contemporary and paranormal categories. Her most recent book is entitled, "One Knight Only" and provides a fantasy romance story of a frustrated college student that wakes up in the arms of a knight.

All of these authors are from the DFW area and provide great books to enjoy. Whether you prefer romance novels or something from the science fiction world, you can find it from one of the DFW area authors.
