As the DFW housing inventory continues to dwindle and home prices just keep rising, developers are reportedly within just a few months of delivering the first set of homes in the new Gateway Parks community in small yet desirable community of Forney, Texas. Â
For suburban home buyers specifically looking in the Forney or Kaufman County area, the new homes are certainly a welcoming addition to the community, especially given the starting price point is only around the mid-$200,000s.Â
Gateway Parks will be a 2,000-acred mixed use development that’s located just south of U.S. Highway 80 and part of the $1 billion Gateway development that’s completely redefining this once-sleepy DFW suburb.Â
Home builders at Gateway Parks include David Weekly Homes, Gehan Homes, and Horizon Homes, but despite the roster of ultra high-quality builders, the goal of the new development is to ultimately provide a price point that’s affordable and attainable to a much broader range of today’s buyers.Â
As of now, the plan is for the first phase of Gateway Parks to include 439 of the 1,840 total single-family homes planned for the entire community.Â
