DFW Fourth of July 2016

It’s hard to believe that the Fourth of July holiday weekend has arrived, but here we are ready to celebrate another year in our nation’s history. Like most years in DFW, there certainly won’t be any shortage of fun things to do this July 4th weekend, with some of the top events including the following:

Fourth of July Weekend at Dallas Arboretum

From tons of great bluegrass music to a variety of kids’ activities that include a patriotic scavenger hunt and plenty of arts and crafts, the Dallas Arboretum is the perfect family-friendly place to spend this year’s July 4th festivities. There’s something going on all weekend long, so check out the schedule and be sure to stop by at some point over the next few days.

Fair Park Fourth

A fireworks show, a performance from the Dallas Winds, and plenty of food and drinks are only a few reasons why Fair Park Fourth is the place to be this Fourth of July. For a full line-up of events, check out the schedule here.

Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration

Hosted by Lone Star Park and the city of Grand Prairie, the annual Lone Stars & Stripes celebration is once again ready to be the talk of July 4th weekend in DFW. Along with exciting horse racing, live music, pony rides, an obstacle course, a zip line,face painting, a petting zoo, and so much more will be on hand to keep the fun going all day and night. Fireworks will also follow the last race.

Fort Worth’s Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion

Looking to cool off during the holiday weekend? Swimming on over the Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth is always a great idea during the Fourth of July! The Free Kidzone will feature pony rides, face painting, tubing, water slides, bounce houses and more, while the food, entertainment and largest fireworks show in all of North Texas help make it a great event for locals of all ages! Frisco Freedom Fest

The Frisco Freedom Fest is one of the more popular Fourth of July events out in the suburbs and is packed with family-friendly entertainment that won’t disappoint. As always, The Taste of Frisco provides festival-goers with some of the best food you’’ll find anywhere in the area, while the 5K run and assortment of entertainment of fun-filled activities keeps the party going all day long.
