For those of us who already live in Dallas or work in the craziness that is DFW real estate right now, we fully understand how how the market has been over the last 12 months. But as we push through the busy spring season and into the summer, the real estate market all around the Dallas-Fort Worth area appears to also be getting plenty of attention nationally as well.

According to the national real estate website Zillow, DFW was mentioned in the top 10 housing markets for 2016, coming in third behind Denver and Seattle. As noted in a recent article from Nerd Wallet, Zillow used 3 different elements to determine what they call the “hotness score”, which include home value appreciation, recent income growth, and current unemployment rates.

Of the 10 hottest markets listed, Dallas-Fort Worth is actually projected to have the highest increase of home values, which could jump as much as 5.6%. And as many of us already know, the job market in Dallas continues to be booming, not only helping the real estate industry tremendously but also the local economy as a whole as well.
