With DFW’s population growing at a lightning fast pace and new development on the rise all throughout North Texas, keeping track of all the new construction projects used to feel like a daunting task—until now that is.

Earlier this year, the Dallas Business Journal, a publication that’s part of American City Business Journals, which is the largest publisher of metropolitan business newsweeklies in the entire county, launched what they’re calling the Crane Watch.

Essentially, the Crane Watch is a comprehensive, interactive map that pinpoints new construction projects happening all over DFW. Users can zoom in and out of the map to get a better idea of each development’s location, and you can also click on each project to get more details about the development such as the developer name, square footage of the project, its estimated cost, a completion date, and even a small description about the development.

The Crane Watch is constantly being updated, so whether you work in the DFW real estate industry, are shopping for a new home or condo, or simply like to keep current with what’s being built, be sure to check-in on the Crane Watch every now and then, as it seem to be one of the best new construction tools out there for anyone looking for information.
