Downsizing in Dallas

With the DFW real estate market so hot, and inventory so low, some local residents may be weighing the pros and cons of selling right now, even if they wouldn’t normally consider it under ordinary conditions. Furthermore, for anyone thinking about downsizing, or perhaps will be at that point in a few years down the road, there may be no better time to sell than now, so why not make the move during such a wild sellers’ market?

Of course making a move of any sorts is a major decision and such a decision shouldn’t be taken lightly. However, if you think now may be the time to make some changes, here’s a look at a number of DFW neighborhoods that are great for downsizing:

Churchill Downs

If you’re looking for an upscale townhome without wanting to pay the “upscale price”, Churchill Downs might have exactly what you need. And in a location that’s close the Medical District, the Tollway, and plenty of shopping and dining, townhomes for sale at Churchill Downs have it ALL!

Lafayette Square

Ample living space, attached garages, and top of the line finishes are all part of the living experience here at Lafayette Square, and when you factor in the maintenance free aspect and its location close to City Place and the rest of downtown Dallas, it’s hard not to give this one of a kind townhome community strong consideration during your home search. See what's currently available at Lafayette Square today!

Cochran Heights

As one of the oldest neighborhoods in Dallas, many also consider it to be one of the more desirable as well. Consisting of about 250 single-family homes, Cochran Heights is charming, walkable, and perfect for buyers who still love that classic vintage character. Junius Heights

Developed back in 1906 and acting as Dallas’ largest historic districts, homes for sale in Junius Heights are situated on the city’s east side and feature all kinds of appeal and desirability. Many homes here are one-level bungalow style dwellings—perfect for anybody downsizing—and you’ll also find the neighborhood to be quite affordable as well.
