Dallas Working From HomeTwo Texas metros have topped the list for best cities suited for working at home, according to InMyArea.com, a Los Angeles-based company that compares home services available in markets all over the U.S.

Based on technology and housing resources, the study concluded that Dallas and San Antonio scored the highest when it comes to how easy it is to work from home—something that has become much more significant to today’s workers due to the on-going pandemic.

According to InMyArea.com's research, which involved analyzing over 800 communities across the country, low housing costs and access to high-speed internet helped both Texas cities score well and rank ahead of other top cities like Miami and Chicago specifically.

Kastle Systems reported that 35% of Dallas-area workers are now back in the office, well above the national average of about 21% of workers. But the majority of major employers are still saying they plan to keep employees working from home until later this year when the threat of a COVID-19 outbreak has cooled off.

As a result of more people working from home, not just in Dallas but all over the country, home buyers in the market for a new place to live are now prioritizing extra space to both work and live.
