While home sales have certainly struggled in many Dallas-area communities over the first half of 2019, the city of Arlington has been ranked the 8th best housing market in the country by national real estate portal realtor.com.

Specifically listed as the eighth best market where buyers are shopping for a home, the rankings were based on how long it’s taking for houses to sell, and also how frequently homes in each market are being viewed on the portal.

According to the study, Arlington homes are sitting on the market just 20 days, and the median list price is settled at $215,050. And although the median list price is up 7.5% year-over-year, it’s still an affordable destination, which is why millennials are linked to 34% of new purchase mortgages in the area right now.

Grand Rapid (MI), Omaha (NE), Boise (ID), Shawnee (KS), and Rochester (NY) rounded out the Top Five market, and Arlington is the only Texas city to be mentioned in the Top Ten.

It's really good to know what cities are the best housing market, especially ones that aren't as well known. Will keep Arlington in mind!
