DFW definitely has some wonderful charity events coming to the area this summer. Check these out for a great experience and for a great cause.
22nd Annual Clay Shoot - 5842 Shelby Road, Fort Worth
The 22nd Annual Clay Shoot is going to be benefitting the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization on August 23rd. From 7:30am – 1pm, the Big Outdoors Mentoring Program will team up children who don't get the chance to enjoy recreational time outdoors with adults for clay shooting at the Alpine Shooting Range. The cost is $150 per shooter or $225 for a parent/child team, $600 for a four person team, and $125 for a four person golf cart.
City House Masquerade Ball - 7600 John Q. Hammons Drive, Frisco
City House Masquerade Ball will be taking place on September 6th benefiting the City House organization at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center. This organization provides shelter for children, young adults, and families for emergency or transitional residential needs. The event will include a silent auction and tickets are $150 to attend. Come out to the Masquerade Ball, with masks optional, on September 6th from 6pm – 11:30pm.
A Night to Remember featuring Aretha Franklin - 2403 Flora Street, Dallas
Benefitting CitySquare, an organization that helps to end poverty by offering life skills classes, food pantry, permanent supportive housing, and pre-employment training to a health clinic, Aretha Franklin will be performing at the AT&T Performing Arts Center at Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House on September 6th. With over 70,000 residents of the DFW area able to take part in the services of CitySquare, this wonderful cause continues to help those in need. Tickets range from $50-$250 and the event starts at 8pm.
The charity events happening in the DFW area this summer range from outdoors activities to a night out at a ball or a concert. These wonderful activities will bring joy to the participants, as well as support these very important causes in the area.
