In case you missed it, news broke earlier this summer about a spectacular new apartment development that’s being planned for downtown Dallas, and if all goes according to plan, it would be the tallest tower to be built in Dallas in roughly three decades.

Being developed by Chicago-based AMLI Residential, the apartment high-rise is planned to stand 45-stories high and be located on Field Street up on downtown’s north side. But because AMLI’s new project will also be situated next door to Fountain Place—one of the most recognizable skyscrapers in all of Dallas—the design for the new high-profile tower is extra special and not just your typical glass box.

In fact, understanding the importance and the significance of the new tower, AMLI hired Austin-based architecture firm Page Southerland Page Inc. to design the $150 million project, which will take two years to built and include a whopping 367 apartment residences once finished.

According to reports, the new AMLI Fountain Place tower will feature apartment residences that are larger than normal, averaging around 1,250 square feet. Also included will be a wide-range of lifestyle amenities for future residents to enjoy, which will include a pool deck with an outdoor lounge, and also a full-size parking garage that will act as the building’s base.
And just like its neighbor, the entire high-rise will feature a sleek glass exterior, and rendering also show units will include a small private balcony as well.
