Dog Friendly Bars in Dallas

Although the weather is cooling down a bit as we enter the fall season, outdoor dining is still a very enjoyable dining experience at restaurants and bars all throughout the Dallas area, especially during the height of the football season. If you can’t make it over to Arlington for the game, the next best thing is to swing over to a local establishment in your neighborhood to enjoy some tasty food, great drink specials, and hopefully a Dallas Cowboy victory. But for dog owners, part of a great game day experience is being able to watch the game with the four-legged part of your family, so if both you and Fido are looking to get out of the house this football season to catch a game or two, here are a few of our favorite dog friendly restaurants in Dallas that accommodate your love for both football and your pup:

Dog Friendly Bars in DallasKaty Trail Ice House

Website

Located at 3136B Routh Street and just off the Katy Trail, the Katy Trail Ice House is arguably the most dog friendly restaurant-bar in town. With an expansive beer garden that’s perfect for watching Dallas’ beloved Cowboys, dog owners walking along the trail frequently stop in for some drinks or a quick bite, and on any given Saturday or Sunday, you might see between 20 and 30 dogs here.

The Ginger Man

Website

Located at 2718 Boll Street, the Ginger Man Pub is a City of Dallas Approved dog friendly food establishment. The spacious outdoor patio can accommodate a number of dogs of all sizes, and the picnic table style seating only compliments the comfortable and casual setting.

Dallas Dog Friendly BarsLee Harvey’s

Website

If you’re looking to combine great drink specials with a casual dog-friendly atmosphere, Lee Harvey’s is the place to be. Every Sunday is “Dog Day” here at Lee Harvey’s, so bring your dog in from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and enjoy $2 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas! This favorite dog-friendly bar in Dallas is located at 1807 Gould Street.

Dog Friendly Restaurants in DallasGin Mill

Website

Back in May of this year, the Gin Mill hosted Yappy Hour—a fun-filled event that benefited the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas. But along with that, the Gin Mill is also a great place to bring the dog any day of the week, during any time of the year. The patio is roomy, the beer list is extensive, and the food is among the best bar food we’ve had anywhere in town!

Chicken Scratch & The Foundry

Website

Located at 2303 Pittman, Chicken Scratch & The Foundry offers one of the best patios/outdoor spaces for pooches. Almost acting as a courtyard, the beer garden here seems like it’s among the largest in Dallas and its completely enclosed, just in case your dog gets loose.  Specials here include $1 off everything from 4 to 7 p.m., $3 drafts on Thursday, and there’s even a ping pong tournament every Tuesday at 9 p.m. Need we say more?
