2017 Deep Ellum Events

If you’re a frequent follower of our DFW real estate blog, you’ve probably noticed we love talking about all that’s happening around Deep Ellum, which truly is one of the hottest neighborhoods in all of Dallas right now. And with the calendar now turned over to a brand new year, we thought now might be a great time to highlight some of Deep Ellum’s many upcoming events. So whether you live in Deep Ellum or just love spending time around the neighborhood, here are a few event we’re excited for in the coming weeks and months.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival: April 7-9

Now on its 23rd year, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival is one of our favorite annual events in all of DFW. As usual, the Deep Ellum Community Association is working to build out the Deep Ellum Village, which will act as the main entrance to the festival and all its happenings. Local businesses are invited to be a part of the village, and last year, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival attracted more than 200,000 people.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market - June - December

The Deep Ellum Market is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Every third Saturday from June until December, weather permitting of course, local artists and businesses showcase whatever it is they’re selling, connecting both residents and visitors with everything this one-of-a-kind neighborhood has to offer. From handmade crafts to fine art and food, there’s usually something for just about anybody.

So What Music Festival?! - March 24-26

Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, the So What Music Festival?! will take place this spring over at Airhogs Stadium in Deep Ellum. The event, which has now grown into one of the largest music festivals in all of DFW, was originally established to give local residents an opportunity to see a wide range of artists and musical performers from all kinds of different genres, from metal and rock to hip-hop and electronic.
