If you haven’t already seen the renderings for One Dallas—a stunning new 20 story residential tower planned for the former site of the Hardrock Café at McKinney and Routh—it’s certainly worth taking a look. Although still in the early conceptual stages, One Dallas will add 200 more luxury apartments to the local real estate market, while also including plenty of additional retail space that will be situated on the ground floor.
For those a bit unfamiliar with the Dallas landscape, One Dallas will be located directly in the heart of Uptown Dallas—a neighborhood known specifically for its vibrant ambiance and pedestrian-friendly appeal. And because of its diverse group of young professionals, there’s no doubt upscale rentals are the ideal property type for an area that’s already thriving when it comes to attractive housing options.
In addition, the design of One Dallas is a bit more modern and imaginative, and should blend in nicely with a neighborhood known for its artistic charm. The exterior of the building sort of offers a similar design to one of downtown Chicago’s hottest rental buildings—Aqua—with its large glass windows and distinct wavy edges (take a look below to see for yourself):
