Mostly built between 1945 and the early 1980s, there’s no doubt mid-century modern homes feature a distinct and recognizable appearance, but just what else besides aesthetics continue to attract both home buyers, home builders, and designers to this timeless architectural model?

In a time when younger home buyers value efficiency, space, and style, it’s only fitting that mid-century modern design is once again being appreciated all throughout the marketplace. While some home builders are even starting to incorporate little mid-century modern touches here and there within the framework of a traditional home design, others are continuing to build out full-fledge mid-century modern houses that seem to be selling like hot cakes, along with just about everything else on the DFW real estate market right now.

Here in North Texas, and Dallas specifically, the inventory of original mid-century modern homes is slightly more widespread because this particular part of the country really started to take shape around the time when the mid-century modern style exploded. But regardless of whether you’re looking for something old or something new, you shouldn't be too hard-pressed to find a splendid mid-century home you like somewhere on the market, with the only question being how hard will it be to lock during one of the fastest moving markets we've seen in recent memory.
