Earlier this week, an interesting piece from the Dallas Morning News caught our attention, which detailed how both the inventory and home sales are up for ultra-elite properties around DFW, especially in that $10 to $20+ million range.
As noted in the piece, 5 Dallas-area homes are listed for $20 million and over right now, with a whopping 27 properties currently on the market for $10 million and over.
If you live in the area, chances are you’re already familiar with the jaw-dropping $100 million estate of Dallas businessman Tom Hicks, which of course is unlike anything else you’ll find on the Dallas-Fort Worth real estate market, but along with that, luxury homes around Dallas on a relatively more “affordable” scale are moving faster and more frequently than ever, with over 1,000 properties priced at $1 million or higher being sold last year alone by local real estate professionals.
As we get closer to the halfway point of 2015, there’s no doubt it’s been an interesting year for Dallas-area the real estate market, but it’s been especially positive for the luxury segment of the marketplace, with apparently no signs of a slow down coming any time soon.
