An elegant new high-rise is in the works for the charming Knox/Henderson neighborhood, which frankly, has flown a little bit under the radar with all the crazy apartment developments hitting the downtown area in recent months.

Once completed, the project now being called The McKenzie will stand 22 stories high and house 183 luxury residences and penthouses that are specifically designed to target empty nesters, according to StreetLights.

In short, residents here should be able to enjoy superior amenities and living spaces that you just can’t get from typical apartment living, while custom features potential buyers can expect include the following: designed appliance packages, lavish bathroom surrounds, custom cabinetry throughout, and even built-in wine refrigerators. Furthermore, The McKenzie will also feature a range of upscale lifestyle amenities for residents to enjoy like a resident bar, a lush garden room with an additional outdoor garden, an elevated sundeck with a swimming pool, and a huge resident great room with outdoor dining capabilities which is sure to get plenty of use.

Valet service, a 24-hour doorman, and concierge will also be available to those living at The McKenzie, and if that wasn’t enough, it’s timeless exterior design is in many ways reminiscent of a classic and historic big city hotel, which fits seamlessly with what developers want to accomplish.

With construction just now underway, expect The McKenzie to be finished sometime in early 2018.
