It still seems that with each passing month, the Dallas-area is still hitting all-time highs when it comes to housing figures, and it appears the month of June was no different.

According to a  new report from CoreLogic, Dallas has the second biggest increase in home prices last month, jumping by about 9.4% compared to home prices in June of 2015. For comparison-sake, the nationwide rate "only" rose by 5.7% from June of 2015 to June of 2016, which shows just how strong the Dallas real estate market is right now.

Mortgage rates officially reached a three-year low back in June, which no doubt is contributing to the strengthening housing market not just around DFW but in many major markets across the U.S.

While it seems just about every segment of the DFW real estate market is thriving right now, condos and townhouses around the Dallas area are showing significant gains in 2016.

According to a report released earlier this month from the Texas Association of Realtors, 1,536 condos and 1,019 townhouses have been sold in Dallas alone through May of this year, which is up over a 3% gain for condos and an eye-opening 8.6% gain for townhouses compared to the first 5 months in 2015.

What’s even more staggering is that the median price of condos in Dallas is now up to $160,000, while the median price of a townhouse in town has reached $235,000. And for anybody wondering, that’s 10.3% price increase for condos and a 7.8% increase for townhouses. Yet sales…

It’s been a HOT summer in North Texas and the real estate market here, well, that’s been pretty hot too. In fact, the DFW real estate market was so hot in June, it was a record setting month for the most houses ever sold in a single month.

According to reports, 10,857 pre-owned single-family homes sold in the region, which is a huge 7% increase compared to June 2015. The Real Estate Center at Texas a&M University and North Texas Real Estate Information Systems is also saying that the spike in home sales last month also outpaced last year’s record setting sales numbers through the first half of the year by about 9%.

Along with the incredible sales numbers, prices however, are also seeing record setting gains, making it hard for some buyers to…

Now that we’ve reached well over the halfway point of 2016, it’s safe to say the Dallas area has experienced a red hot real estate market for just about the entire year so far. Apartments are being built and rented faster than ever and inventory for just about every other property-type simply can’t keep up with demand. As a result, home prices in DFW have also reached record highs.

But with the local real estate market so robust over the last 6-8 months, new reports are surfacing about the market possibly overheating sometime in the not-so-distant future. National real estate database realtor.com recently released a list of the nation’s 10 “overheating” real estate markets recently, which was compiled from analysis of the country’s 50 largest…

Dallas-Fort Worth Apartments

So just how insane is the apartment market in DFW right now? Well, according to a recent article in the Dallas Business Journal, over 50,000 new units are currently underway in our region, which is not only an all-time high, but easily the most units under construction of any major market in the U.S. by far.

With so many apartment units under construction in DFW, economists and real estate professionals alike are wondering whether demand really is that high or if North Texas could see over saturation sometime in the near future. As of now, however, it’s hard to argue that demand really is keeping pace with the incredible new supply of apartment residences continuing to hit the market, which will no doubt continue through the rest of the year.

Sell Your DFW Home

An interesting article from Market Watch helped put in perspective just how red hot the DFW real estate market is right now. As mentioned in the piece, out of 2,506 recently listed properties to hit the market in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area, 2,305 of those listings were sold in a 7-day span. To put those numbers in a way that sounds even more jaw dropping, roughly 92% of DFW homes to hit the open market are being sold in a week or less.

The uncommon trend of homes that are priced somewhere under $2 million being sold almost immediately is just the latest sign of how much housing is in demand all throughout North Texas, and especially around many parts of Dallas. Recently gathered statistics are showing that 1,200 people are moving to Texas every…

The Vendome Dallas

It’s been well over a decade since The Vendome Dallas was built, but even as more condo and apartment high-rises continued to hit the market over the years, it’s still widely considered to be one of the most luxurious places to call home in all of downtown Dallas, even today.

Located at 3505 Turtle Creek Boulevard, The Vendome’s distinct European flair is unlike anything else in the city, both from a lifestyle and architectural standpoint. It’s French-inspired design can only be described as elegant and sophisticated, while on the inside, residents almost feel as if they’re living in a lavish resort hotel somewhere in South France.

Living spaces are large inside The Vendome and offer anywhere from one to three bedroom floor plans in most cases. High…
